Grants for Jail Diversion Now Available: Deadline March 27, 2007: "The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is soliciting applications for the FY 2007 Jail Diversion program. These grants will promote the transformation of systems to improve services for justice-involved adults with mental illness. This program is intended to improve the capacity of systems to divert these individuals away from the criminal justice system to community-based integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment and other appropriate support services. "
