Preventing Violence and Violence-Related Injury Grant: "CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Research for Preventing Violence and Violence-Related Injury (R01.” $1.8 million [this amount is an estimate, and subject to the availability of funds] will be available in fiscal year 2007 to fund five to six awards. The purpose of this program is to expand and advance the understanding of violence, its causes, and prevention strategies. The estimated funding date is August 31, 2007"
